Just the least little incline it'll heat up then shut it's self down. The truck is a low mileage truck around 400,000, and the fuel is set on the factory settin.

He was haulin full time with the truck but bought a Western Star and only uses the cabover to pull a reefer trailer around a 100 mile round trip on saturday. Any engine that went through an out of frame over haul at the dealer that I worked for at the time was painted Desert Sand when completed.A buddy of mine has a '86 International cabover that has all of the sudden started overheating on the least little hill. As I said earlier International at the time were red and Cummins in Ford trucks were blue. In my area at that time most engines were Desert Sand, Canadian Kenworth also was installing engines at the factory that were white. but I do appreciate your information you've given me about this engine! Perhaps they painted it when they swapped it into my truck? I'm not sure. I thought that most cummins engines from this era were tan in color. I really appreciate any information you have about my engine! Thank you all very much for your help in identifying what I have. I've replaced the 10.00 x 20 on the split rims on the drive wheels, but I have put 22.5 Dayton rims and tires on the front. Ive been working on removing the paint from the hubs and axles and repainting them as well as swapping tires and cleaning and painting rims. I will leave the engine and transmission in the frame but remove the cab and paint the frame, sand blast the cab and paint inside and out, repair the hood and rewire everything. This is my first BIG truck restoration, my aim is to restore this truck (1970 Diamond Reo C-114). All of the engine is that faded old red color except for the air compressor, fuel pump, and the intake manifold, but that really doesn't mean anything. I have no idea what it came from and if someone has done anything to it. it does smoke a little at start up, but that clears up after the first minute. the original engine to my tractor was a Detroit diesel 6-71N. I've seen so many that have strayed so far away from the original CPL configuration that the only way to know for sure what you have would be a teardown. old Cummins that hasn't been altered in some way especially in an automotive application. It would be extremely rare to find a 45 yr. What are your thoughts? Its been rebuilt to be an NTC350? There is not an aftercooler on it. I will double check tonight when I have time and see if I can find anything else behind the compressor.

The numbers on top of the fuel pump is 160 2921 26125įuel Code 2921 is for CPL-0160. Please tell us all the numbers from the small tag on the top of the fuel pump. This was a small cam using big cam parts. could someone please run that number for me? Thank you, Bįuel Code 2312 is for CPL-0069. I have what I believe is an NTC335 with serial number 10207017.
